Overview

Ethena's offchain infrastructure is deployed in the AWS Hong Kong region (AP-EAST-1) across multiple data centers (Availability Zones).

Applications/Infrastructure are designed to automatically re-deploy in case of failure. Some components are deployed across multiple availability zones for high availability, where possible/appropriate.

A secondary region is maintained as a "pilot light" in AWS Ireland (EU-WEST-1) in case of a total Regional outage. The offchain system can be quickly scaled up and brought into operation.

Critical data is continually synced, and can also be reconstructed from exchange and on-chain data sources.
